Your books
When you choose or drop an EPUB file, your browser reads it on your device. The file is not sent to ReadMyEpub or to anyone else. To let you continue later, the book is saved in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) on that device.
The 10 most recent books are kept. When you add more, the oldest are removed automatically. You can also remove a book yourself from the Library page or from the “Continue reading” card on the home page.
What is saved on your device
- The books you opened, including a small cover image made from the book’s own cover.
- Your reading position and your reader settings, such as theme, font, text size and dialogue color.
All of this stays in your browser. It is not shared between devices or browsers. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes it.
ReadMyEpub has:
- No sign up, accounts or passwords.
- No uploading, copying or reading of your books on a server.
- No advertising and no selling of data.
Fonts and external links
The site’s fonts are served from the site itself, not from a third-party font service. The Donate link and the Support Me button open Buy Me a Coffee in a new tab. That is a separate website with its own privacy policy, and nothing about your books is shared with it.
Hosting logs
Like most websites, the hosting provider may keep basic technical logs, such as the pages requested and IP addresses, for security and operation. These logs never contain your books, because your books are never sent to the server.
